News Round Up

Darlington have postponed a series of summer concerts at their ground due to funding issues. The June concerts, dubbed 'Pitch Invasion 2007' would have cost over £1m to stage but the club have decided to shelve the idea following a lukewarm reaction from fans. The club are in talks with sponsors for a 'major music event' to be held there next summer.

Torquay have lost the services of midfielder Lloyd Kerry and winger Ali John with the loan pair both returning to their parent clubs following season ending injuries. Rochdale defender Nathan Stanton won't play again this season due to a hamstring injury.

MK Dons boss Martin Allen has slammed the referee that saw nine of his eleven players either booked or sent off in their recent match at Shrewsbury. The eight bookings cost the club a mandatory £1,000 fine, while Jude Stirling lost his appeal for his straight red card for a raised elbow. Allen said of ref Nigel Miller: "I've never previously blamed a referee but this was quite unbelievable."

Mansfield have announced frozen season ticket prices for next season. Of the lower division sides to announce prices so far only a handful have increased prices, but none by a significant amount.
