Boston United look as though they will continue as a football club for the present after they received some extra support yesterday.
According to the Times a firm of venture capitalists has saved the club from liquidation with a £250,000 rescue package. Boston have debts of around £1 million.
The firm that has saved the club, Standing Alone, is reported to be interested in redeveloping Boston’s Staffsmart Stadium.
"In making this money available, we have acted in good faith to safeguard the future of the club, its players and staff," said a company spokesperson.
