Torquay have reappointed Mike Bateson as chairman for the second time just days after the existing chairman, Keith Richardson, had told fans that he was there for the long term.
On Monday Richardson stood up in front of supporters at a fans forum and told them he was there for the long term but late last night it was agreed that Mike Bateson, who remained the majority shareholder throughout his stint away from the helm, would return. Richardson is not even on the reformed board, which includes Bateson's wife and daughter and the three rebel directors that forced calamitous chairman Chris Roberts to quit.
The club have announced a 'Hello Again' ticket offer for Saturday's match, offering £10 adult admission all around the ground in a bid to lure back the stay-away supporters disillusioned by Roberts' tenure.
Meanwhile, Cardiff City have announced season ticket prices under those of the Bulls. Even if the club get promotion to the Premiership a terrace season ticket will be £60 cheaper than Edgar Street, while stand tickets start at the same price as the Bulls.
