With tonight's Johnstones Paint Trophy tie at Gay Meadow postponed, and both managers happy that the decision was right, the two clubs are now at loggerheads over when the game should be played next.
The game is now twice postponed, having originally been placed in the calendar for the week of January 8th. Shrewsbury have been quick to announce the game for next Monday, the week when the next round was due to be played, with their official site proclaiming that Rovers will stay over for the Tuesday if there is a problem.
Bristol Rovers have been equally speedy to describe the Monday tie as ludicrous, and will contact the Football League for a final answer tomorrow. Rovers face a FA Cup trip to Derby on Saturday and have threatened to field a reserve side in that game if the FL chooses the Monday night match as the option.
