Following Tresor Kandol's decision not to sign for Darlington, Dagenham and Redbridge appear to be holding the position of their "unbreakable" deal to sell the striker.
A statement on the official Dagenham site says: "The Management Committee of Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club is aware of the recent speculation regarding the transfer of Tresor Kandol to Darlington Football Club and the natural interest of its Members and Supporters.
However the situation is still ongoing and the Club's Officers are responding to events as they occur. With this in mind they do not feel it appropriate to make any further comment at this time.
The Club will however make a full statement once the matter has been fully resolved. "
This suggests the return of Kandol to Dagenham isn't cut and dried, and Dagenham will be seeking a financial settlement after agreeing a deal two months ago to sell the striker for around £50,000.
