Boston Five Plead Not Guilty

Boston manager Steve Evans and four other current and former employees of Boston have all pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to cheat the public revenue.

The matter centres on the cash allegations that saw Boston fined and docked points in their first Football League season. Evans was banned from football for 20 months for his part in the irregularities, but was reappointed as manager within days of his ban expiring.

The case is due to be heard on September 18th at Southwark Crown Court.
