Stansfield would like to get to Trophy Final

Adam Stansfield, who scored the only goal of the game this afternoon, told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he would like to get to the final of the FA Trophy.

"I've been to the final and won it. It's a great day out and I'd like to get to the final and win it. Hopefully I'd like to think all the lads would as well."

Asked about potential fixture congestion, Stansfield didn't seem concerned.

"We're fit players and we've got a squad big enough."

Stansfield took a knock during the second half which appeared to be a dead leg.

"It's just above the knee, bit of a puncture wound, bit of a ice and it should run off"

Guy Ipoua travelled to the Shay but wasn't named in the squad.

"He's been 80% training this week, hopefully in the next week or two he should be back."

Both Dean Beckwith and Alex Jeannin were booked this afternoon by the referee who was replaced late in the game when he appeared to pull a muscle.

There were about 100 Hereford United fans in a reported gate of 1220.

Meanwhile Grays Athletic's Aaron McLean scored in extra time to put Kidderminster out of the Trophy.

There are three replays next week. Those clubs through so far are Cambridge City, Forest Green, Welling, Boreham Wood, Salisbury, Crawley Town, Dag & Red, Exeter, Hereford, Grays Athletic, Stafford Rangers, Stalybridge, and Tamworth.

Today's win brings £5,000 to Edgar Street. The draw for the third round is on Monday.
