Turner still looking for players

Graham Turner is still looking for a couple of additions to the squad. The Hereford United manager says that he is pleased with the way pre-season has gone and is encouraged by Ben Scott's performances in goal but he has not given up looking for another goalkeeper.

In an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester he also mentioned the need for a target man.

"What we have got with the strikers in the club, Adam Stansfield, Andy Williams, and Danny Carey-Bertram is pace and mobility. David Brown is technically a very good player. He can set attacks up or blend in with midfield. So the combination is fine.

"We would like the alternative of having a big lad up front, someone with a bit of physical presence.

"As for a goalkeeper, I wanted someone who had played two or three hundred league matches that would bring all his experience into the club. The ones I have pursued have been really good, but I'm optimistic we'll have one in before the season starts."
