Conference News from Confguide

Conguide have published some useful news about the way the Conference Leagues will be run this coming season.

The following may be of interest  to Hereford United supporters:

Clubs will now be able to play up to two long-term and two short-term loan players at a time. Short-term is defined as up to three months.

There are expected to be changes in the suspension rules although these are not yet confirmed by the FA.

For the forthcoming season, red cards will result in an immediate ban rather than a 14-day wait as currently implemented.

Every conference game has to be videoed by the home club, with the tapes to reach the FA by noon on the Monday (for Saturday games) - in time for potential appeal hearings. This still leaves a small window for appeal before a Tuesday game, but it's not clear what happens over, say, August Bank Holiday weekend, where clubs play on the Saturday and again on the Monday.
Sponsorship for the Conference includes £1.9 million from the Nationwide over three years and a minimum of £1 million from Sky TV over three years.

Umbro will be sponsoring the balls used in Conference matches.

Kia Cars are providing all Conference National clubs with a car.
