Chester pay Boston
Chester City have at last settled their debt with Boston for the transfer of Daryl Clare.
This is Lincolnshire have reported that Boston United have been paid the outstanding £20,000 owed by Chester City following striker Daryl Clare's transfer from Boston to the Deva Stadium.
Boston chairman Jon Sotnick confirmed the funds had cleared in the Pilgrims' bank account yesterday afternoon.The two clubs had been at loggerheads over the instalment which was agreed as part of Clare's 2002 switch and was to be paid once Chester had won promotion from the Conference.
Chester took ages to pay Hereford United for tickets for the last game of last season and are currently being closely looked at by Customs and Excise.
