Dominant Bulls 3-0 ahead at half-time

Hereford are 3-0 up at half time against South Shields after a superb first half.

 

Inside two minutes at Edgar Street, the Bulls found themselves a goal up against one of the title favourites, the big spending and full time Mariners. After Preston Bitemo sent a pin-point cross into the box, Harrison Iwunze held it up before a defender smashed the ball against Billy Phillips and pinging back past the keeper.

In the 21st minute, Bitemo doubled the host’s advantage as he half-volleyed a cross into the back of the net.

Two minutes from the break, the live wire Phillips made it three as he buried the ball past the keeper, with Bitemo with the assist.

The Bulls have exerted plenty of pressure on Shields, not allowing them any time on the ball and frustrated them by snubbing any pressure in the final third.
