Hereford's playing budget to be increased

Hereford's chairman Chris Ammonds has confirmed that Paul Caddis will be given a bigger playing budget next season.

With higher attendances at Edgar Street, which averaged 2,824 last season, the chairman said cash reserves were now back at a healthy level having dipped as low as £5,000 at one point.

In an update on the official club website, Ammonds also said Squad Builder and season ticket information would be published soon.

On finances, he said: "I am pleased to be able to say that the improved attendances over the past two seasons have had a really positive impact on the club’s financial position, with our cash reserves now back at a level that is needed – and expected – for a business of our size with a turnover of around £1.5million.

“This positive position means we are going to be able to invest more in the playing budget moving forward and while this does not mean we are suddenly going to be one of the ‘big hitters’ in the National League North money wise, the reason we are here is to try to put the best possible team we can on the field and that is what we are committed to trying to do."
