One Mistake Cost Us Said McIntyre

Chester manager Calum McIntyre, on the left, spoke about yesterday's game at Hereford. He felt that one mistake had cost his side the win he felt they deserved.

"An individual mistake at a massive moment in the game, right at the end," said McIntyre.

"Coming here is difficult, two proper football clubs, really good following from us, really good home crowd, going right the way at it, two teams trying to win the game.

"It's disappointing from our point of view that we were two and a half minutes away, we hadn't been under loads of pressure, goalkeeper hasn't had to make many saves, then a moment and an error.

"Big question mark, the referee has apologised for giving a corner for their first goal. I'm fed up with hearing it. It was the same at Chorley. At least we were told on the Saturday not the Monday.

"I don't like calling for bookings but should they have eleven on the pitch? I thought the withdrawal of their player (D'Ath) on a yellow card ten seasons after he made, not like a bad tackle but probably a second bookable, then we would be playing the game for an hour against ten men.

"Easy to whinge when you don't win a game, we made a mistake right at the end which has probably cost us two points."

McIntyre also had a quick word with BN.

He said he felt a point from the game was more important for Hereford then Chester given their positions in the table.

Hereford needed the point to try and keep in the play-off positions whereas Chester are almost there.
