Match Report Hereford v Kingfisher

This match was seen as the toughest yet, undoubtably the two teams that will fill the top two spots come the end of the season.

Hereford started steady, keeping the ball nicely but not really breaking the Kingfisher back line, who themselves looked confident going forward

It was Kingfisher who broke the deadlock on 13 minutes when a corner floated into the box seemingly passing through the Hereford keepers out stretched arms and into the back of the net.

This fired Hereford into life, Sheree Smith finding an equaliser within a minute, a low strike beating the keeper in the bottom corner.

The midfield were now wining most of the duels, great work from Molly Powis on the edge of the box sending  Millie Griffiths through to make 2-1 ( 36 minutes).

On 41 minutes Sheree Smith rounded the outrushing keeper to make it 3-1.

Kingfisher had a player sin binned shortly after so finished the half with ten players.

HT Hereford 3-1 Kingfisher

The second half saw Hereford have total control, passing the ball around their opponents with ease and creating some fine chances, one of which Emily Ewing finished on 54 minutes.

Coach Heather Martin made several changes, but this didn’t break up Hereford's dominance, Kingfisher unable to unlock the Hereford back line

FT Hereford 4-1 Kingfisher

Another huge step closer to promotion, Hereford being the only team in the top four to win today. It should make Hereford firm favourites for the title, but with nine games remaining there’s still plenty of points to play for.

League Table:
