National North Weekend Review

This review of last Saturday's games in the National North League from the National League.

Just one point separates the top three in the National League North after a dramatic day.

Leaders Scunthorpe United lost at Radcliffe, Matt Sargent inflicted a 90th minute defeat on the table toppers and all-but confirmed safety for Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s men.

Kidderminster Harriers salvaged a late point at Buxton through in-form Zak Brown.

Brackley Town were the day’s big winners, leaving South Shields with victory to go within a point of the leaders thanks to George Carline.

Jason Cowley earned Hereford a point in a thriller against Chester while King’s Lynn and Chorley fired blanks.

Stephen Walker scored a hat-trick for Scarborough at home to Marine as Curzon Ashton enhanced their play-off chances and all-but relegated Warrington Town. Isaac Sinclair hit the all-important goal.

Elsewhere there were wins for Peterborough Sports and Darlington.
