Dominant Kidderminster continue title march after seeing off Bulls

Hereford have fallen to a resounding 5-1 defeat against Kidderminster Harriers - but cling on to a play-off place ahead of the final game of the season against Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

The result means Kidderminster remain top and a win on Saturday would guarantee them the title after relegation last season.

A woeful start to the afternoon saw Kidderminster Harriers take an early lead, with former Bull Maziar Kouhyar's cross from the left find the unmarked David Worrall to turn home in the second minute.

Things then went from bad to worse as the dominant home side doubled their lead. Apparently picking up where they finished on Boxing Day with Hereford's defence at sixes and sevens, Harriers outnumbered the Bulls as Ashley Hemmings flicked the ball through the centre for Amari Morgan-Smith to drill home.

But after being under the cosh, a miraculous goal from a free kick for Omari Sterling-James saw the Bulls give their 1,300 fans at Aggborough hope. After winning the free kick, untouched it flew past Christian Dibble in goal.

In fact, the Bulls could've been level at half time had the unmarked Kyle Howkins scored his first goal of the season by heading home Sterling-James's cross - but it instead went agonisingly wide.

Into the second half, another early goal left Hereford deflated. This time, their defence was carved open after being hit with a quick Hemmings counter attack. The lively player raced through before Kouhyar finished past Theo Richardson.

Despite some pressure from Hereford, another preventable goal loomed. This time substitute Aaron Skinner was at fault, with the hosts taking a 4-1 lead. It was Kouhyar's looping header at the back post, under little pressure from the right-back, beat Richardson from Worrall's cross.

Hereford couldn't find a way back from there and regularly struggled to string passes together against a organised and well-drilled Kidderminster side at a sodden Aggborough.

Deep in eight minutes injury time Morgan-Smith tapped a ball past Richardson in a killer blow for Caddis's men.
