Former Hereford FC defender Jamie Willets is hoping he can play against Spurs in the FA Cup next month.
Willets has helped Tamworth gain two promotions and an FA Cup tie against Spurs would be 'the opportunity of a lifetime.
"Tamworth FC over the past two seasons have enjoyed major successes winning back-to-back promotions from the Southern League Central to the National League," he told the Dudley News.
"I have felt honoured to have played a pivotal role in helping the club achieve these league titles and helped the club get back to where they belong.
"Tamworth FC have also been fantastic in the FA Cup this season knocking out big clubs such as Macclesfield, Huddersfield Town and Burton Albion.
"Unfortunately, I sustained a knee injury back in August and I've been trying to get back into the team ever since, but the team have surpassed expectations so I've just got to remain patient for another opportunity hopefully against Tottenham Hotspur."
As well as playing football Willets is head of department for business and economics at Bewdley School.
