Ceesay's Goal Settled Us Down Said Caddis

Hereford manager Paul Caddis said he was 'really pleased' with the win over Chorley yesterday. A goal in the 10th minute from Yusifu Ceesay decided the result.

"Chorley are a tough side to play against, they are very experienced at this level.

"They have an extremely experienced manager whom I have a lot of respect for. I think he has managed over a thousand games. The longevity of that has to be commended.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game, we knew it was going to be tight.

"I think we had better chances, I think we could have scored a little bit more but I can't be too over critical.

"The performance, I thought we did all the bits of football that not a lot of people see, the not so nice bits when you have to dig in.

"I thought Kyle and Preston, they had to deal with a lot of balls into the box, I thought they dealt with it brilliant.

"We weren't pleased with the start we made in the first ten minutes especially given the last few home games when we've started on the front foot and done really well.

"Once we got to grips and the game had settled down a bit and Ceesay got his goal I said to Rooney I think hopefully that will settle us down and I think it did. .

"We started getting White on the ball and our wide players running at full backs and Cowley being the tenacious striker he is.

"We started going up the pitch, we started passing the ball better.

"It was one of those games when you are 1-0 up, you're always cautious, you're always open to a mistake.

"Chorley are tough opponents. For anyone who finishes above Chorley then they've got a right chance this year."
