We're In The Room With The Council Said Ammonds

One of the points raised in last Saturday's BBC Hereford and Worcester interview with Hereford manager Chris Ammonds was the Blackfriars End of Edgar Street which has recently been demolished.

There remain lots of questions to be answered but Ammonds seemed pleased with the way things are going so far.

"We've got lots of questions as well,"said Ammonds.

"But the good thing is that we are in the room with the Council and the developers, having conversations is seen as a key part of it.

"Some of the information about the key terms of the lease that we have agreed were put out last week and in that one of the points was that the developement will include a new stand for the football club to make it four sided again which is great.

"There's a huge amount of work to be done, it's massive plot, the reality is now is that you can see the space is there.

"There are designs already being put forward, we have to look at those as a football club, other stakeholders have to look at them.

"You can informally go to Council planning and ask how would this look and get a guide on whether it might be acceptable.

"And that's all got to be played out really before the first set of formal proposals are put forward.

"We'll only focus on our part of it in terms of the stand, what is pitch facing and the spectator facilities.

"The rest of it we will stay out of that."
