Hereford ahead at the break

Hereford are 1-0 up at half time in this afternoon's season opener against South Shields at Edgar Street.

Summer signing Montel Gibson bagged his first goal for the club of the campaign as he picked up a loose ball beat the keeper one-on-one.

The visitors have threatened though, with keeper Aaron Chapman twice having to be rescued by outfield players with clearances off the line.
