The matchday experience for Hereford fans in Radford's bar is set to be improved next season thanks to a Hereford firm.

West Mercia Air Conditioning Ltd said it has teamed up with Hereford as part of a new partnership to deliver a "state-of-the-art climate control system" to provide heating and air conditioning.

The Rotherwas-based firm said it would be "enhancing comfort levels for all visitors, whether they’re enjoying a game or attending community events during the week".

Jamie Griffiths, the club's general manager, said: “By teaming up with West Mercia Air Conditioning, we are taking a proactive step towards enhancing comfort levels at Radford’s, ensuring that every moment spent here is enjoyable and memorable whether that be on a matchday or in the week.”

West Mercia Air Conditioning said it was proud to become the official climate control partner of Hereford FC, committing to the "mutually beneficial partnership" for the next five years.

Matthew Wood, the firm's managing director, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Hereford FC and contribute to the enhancement of Radford’s. Our expertise in heating and air conditioning systems will allow us to tailor solutions specifically designed to meet the unique needs of the venue, providing optimal comfort for supporters on match days and ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for groups utilising Radford’s throughout the week.”

The bar, one of two underneath the main stand at Edgar Street, is popular on matchdays and can be hired out for private functions.

There are also fanzones outside on certain matchdays.
