A Bit Frustrating In The End Said Williams

Hereford striker Andy Williams scored both goals for the Bulls in their draw at Banbury last night. Afterwards he spoke about the game.

"To say the least it was probably a bit frustrating in the end," said Williams.

"You come here, a crazy sort of fixture pile-up, you just have to get the result and we did that, hopefully not too much cost with the red cards.

"First half I thought we had really good spells of dominating the game, we let them out a bit easy a couple of times and gave them a few sniffs like their disallowed goal.

"We played well in patches and I think it was the same again in the second half.

"We started quite bright and then straight after they scored we had a little period when we showed what we do but we needed to stay on it a little bit more.

"It's hard playing Monday, Wednesday. It's a crazy fixture pile-up and that made it a bit tricky.

"Fair play to the fans for them as well, Monday, Wednesday. To turn out in the numbers they did on a Wednesday night after they had forked out to watch us play on Monday as well, it's incredible. I think in the end they spured us on to get the win."

Williams scored right at the end of the first half and then ten minutes into the second half.

"I think we should have had a penalty just before we did, there was a blatant hand ball, everyone heard the slap yet alone seen it hit someone's hand. It was a bit frustrating we didn't get that before.

"First half I think we needed to go in 1-0 up for the dominance we had had. It was my first sort of little sniff, I think I had a shot blocked before that but I was getting frustrated with being man-handled in the box without anything being given.

"You can't rely on officals at times, you have to make sure you win the game in the right way and we didn't quite do that toniight but we got the job done and given ourselves a chance. We've got to go to Scunny and get something now."

Fifteen minutes in the second half Hereford conceded a penalty and had two players sent off. It could have gone wrong?

"I could not believe Naths (Cameron), The first booking, we should have had the foul. I could not he booked him for it, I didn't realise at the time.

"Then the second one when the kid's nicked it away from him, it was an accidental challenge, the kid was going away from goal. We can't beef on that too much.

"Skins said he slipped, it looked a bit silly the second one for him but it put our books up against the wall.

"But the lads dug in and we've shown in the last few games what sort of character we've got here. We've given ourselves a real fighting chance with the character we've got in the group and we'll keep fighting until the end."
