Hereford manager Paul Caddis spoke to the local media after last night's 3-3 with Alfreton and admitted it was a difficult game to sum up.
"My emotions are disappointed but proud," he said.
"Disappointed at half time to be 3-1 down.
"We started the game really well, got the goal, went in front.
"And then we made some individual errors to be brutally honest.
"We didn't compete with the long throw, we knew that was what to expect, we knew that Alfreton were really direct.
"So credit to them going in at half time 3-1 up. They managed the game really well, they were allowed to manage the game really well."
Caddis said that at half time he told the squad that they had to compete with the throw ins more, got to keep possession better.
"If you keep the ball on the pitch you nullify almost 90% of what they are good at, long throws, directness from indirect free kicks, directness from corners, keep possession, keep the ball from them.
"The second half was chalk and cheese. The character was there.
"I thought the last twenty five minutes, the majority of the second half we were much better than them.
"I always felt if we got a second we would get a third.
"Obviously proud but to score three goals at home and only come out with a point is disappointing."
