We Need To Get A Body Or Two In This Week Said Caddis

Towards the end of his post match interview at Southport, Paul Caddis was asked if he had tried to bring players in to bolster the squad.

Yesterday Hereford only had three players on the bench.

"We had an approach from Rushall for Camron McWilliams," said Caddis.

"They promised him he would play football, I won't promise anyone they will play games.

"That happened last minute."

Maziar Kouhyar has returned to York.

"Maz has been unfortunate.

"We've got both wingers out at the moment, we don't have any other wingers in the squad.

"Sometimes in football things happen really quickly, too quick for us to react.

"We've tried to get a player that everyone is well aware of. It's been a bit difficult so we'll have to move on.

"We need bodies in, we'll hopefully try and get a body or two in this week. We've got a week now to prepare for the next game because Teixeira will miss next week (as well as Mendes).

"So we need an extra body."

Caddis was asked if Mark Derricott, who is out on loan, might play in the HFA Cup game on Tuesday night.

"I wouldn't bring Des back to play in that because it's better for his career to play the games he's played.

"He's done excellent, Tim Flowers is really pleased with him, and he's really enjoying it.

"I don't want to stop people progressing in their career.

"But right now we've got a back three, we've got Ollie, we've got Skins, we've got Huddy.

"Des is best to go and play games and hopefully make a career for himself."

Caddis said that the Under 18's will represent Hereford on Tuesday night at Wellington.
