Koby Arthur was substituted at half time as Stourbridge fell to a 2-1 defeat at AFC Telford United |
Wingers Kian Ryley and Connor Stanley, who both had spells with the Bulls this season, were named on the bench for the Glassboys.
Arthur was replaced by Stanley at half-time and for Telford, former Bull Brandon Hall started in goal, alongside defender Orrin Pendley and striker Reece Styche.
Winger Ricardo Dinanga, who made three substitute appearances for Hereford on loan from Coventry City in 2022 under former manager Josh Gowling, was on the bench.
With the game goalless at half-time, Alex Prosser gave Stourbridge the lead in the 61st minute, beating Hall with a shot from the edge of the area.
But the visitors, now reduced to 10 men, couldn't hold onto their lead as they conceded two late goals - both from former Bulls. Orrin Pendley scored the equaliser, forcing the ball over the line in a goalmouth scramble following a corner, and substitute Ricardo Dinanga netted the winner with another scramble in the box, this time from a free kick.
Pendley scored six goals in 36 appearances for Hereford last season, ending the year with the third-highest goal tally behind Tyrone Barnett and Ryan McLean.
