Pitch inspection at Edgar Street as temperatures fall to minus 7C

There will be a pitch inspection at Edgar Street this afternoon after temperatures fell to minus 7C.

The Bulls are set to take on King's Lynn Town in the National League North tomorrow, but a preliminary pitch inspection will take place at 4pm on Friday.

According to the Met Office, temperatures at its Credenhill site fell to minus 7C overnight.

And at 10am on Friday morning, it was still minus 2C.

The forecast shows temperatures could rise to 6C in Hereford today with sunny spells.

A cloudier night should keep temperatures above freezing overnight.

Earlier this week, covers were put down on areas of the pitch, with volunteers helping out on Monday morning.

Tuesday night's HFA County Challenge Cup game against Tenbury United, which the Bulls won 11-1, was also moved to Hereford Pegasus's artificial pitch due to the sub-zero temperatures.

The club said the pitch inspection comes after "harsh freezing temperatures".
