'Happy To Help The Team' Said Kouhyar

Maziar Kouhyar was back in a Hereford shirt last night at Rushall after a loan deal with York was announced.

The midfielder was on the bench and came on as a sub.

After the game he spoke to the local media.

"I'm glad to be here," said Kouhyar.

"Been here before, enjoyed my time here.

"Had a great welcome from all the fans as well.

"So I'm happy  to help the team and get the assist for the goal."

How did the move come about?

"Lack of playing time really, I wanted to come there and play football. I just ewant to play as much as I can.

"So the opportunity came and they train in Birmingham as well which is good for me as that's where I'm from.

"So when it came I jumped at the opportunity to come and play.

"It was very last minute, the opportunity came and I said yes."

The squad of players is completely different to the last time Kouhyar was with Hereford.

"A few of the boys I know just from playing football here and there.

"A great bunch of lads, today the team spirit was phenominal.

"It was a tough game, the wind obviously made it difficult but the boys all played well, defended well and then got the goal at the end to get the three points."

What did Paul Caddis say to you just before you came on?

"He said go out there and do what you do best and enjoy so that's kind of the message I like to receive.

"Go out there, do my best, enjoy the football and help as much with goals and assists as I can."

Since leaving Hereford how have you changed?

"I think I've matured a lot, feel stronger but I'm still the same in thsat I like to dribble, take people on, perform for the crowd, so hopefully more of that and push for the play-offs."
