Andy Williams came off the bench to make his first National North appearance for Hereford yesterday.
Afterwards he spoke about the victory.
"I think every victory is an important one," he said.
"We're up there in the play-offs where we want to be and it's important to stay there especially over Christmas.
"It didn't go the way we wanted in the first half but the boys dug deep and showed the character we've got in the dressing room.
"Two incredible goals won us the game.
"It's always good to show you can win nice and pretty and then come from behind and still win games as well.
"I think we've got that in abundance here, I don't think there's ever going to be a question about our character and the way we keep digging deep.We just needed a couple of bits of magic to get us back in the game today.
"I think it was always going to take a little bit of time to rebuild a whole group of players.
"I think the Gaffer has really put his mark on the team, you can see every game everyone gives their all.
"It was going to take a bit of time to show consistancy in our results but the performances were growing and growing and now we're starting to show we can get the results we deserve."
Willo came on as a sub half way through the second half.
"Obviously it's been far too long but absolutely delighted to get back out there and get on the pitch and help the team win the game
"I'm just buzzing, it's been a long time coming and I'm looking forward to getting out there again.
"I think the Gaffer was probably a bit wary about giving me minutes initially but I felt like I was ready and I told him I felt like I was ready.
"I think last week's training I probably wasn't quite there but this week I definitely felt a lot more at it and a lot more with it and felt I could come on and make an impact in the game.
"I would like to think I sort of did that, probably not the way I wanted to, Cowls had the glory this week."
