Three points for Hereford at Bishop's Stortford yesterday has moved the Bulls up to fourth place in the table. But, as some have noted, it was only 1-0 against a team propping up the table.
"A solid away victory," said manager Paul Caddis.
"We knew it was going to be tough with the conditions and what we were up against with the opponents.
"I thought to a man we defended really well.
"We attacked well at times without testing the goalie as much as we would like to.
"I was really pleased with everyone, really pleased with how we defended the box.
"They changed to 4/4/2 with half an hour to go and caused us a few more problems in terms of going a bit more direct but we dealt with it.
"I thought we were excellent, really pleased.
"I know our away form has come under a bit of spotlight, rightly so.
"But there is no better way of putting it right than getting an away victory today.
"We look forward to Spennymoor next."
So only a 1-0 victory?
"I know a lot of teams have come here and scored quite a few goals but it's difficult place.
"And it will be even more difficult the more the conditions cut up.
"It's an away victory and we'll continue to try and pick up points away from home."
