Injury Update From Hereford Manager

Hereford manager Paul Caddis has given un update on players with injury problems.

"Jason Cowley is coming along nicely and we are really pleased with his progress. Cowls is on track for returning to training with the 8 week timescale given to us by the specialist so we are looking around 6 weeks to date which is really pleasing.

Andy Williams recovery has slowed down a little due to some discomfort in his knee which we are monitoring closely and at the moment unable to put an exact timescale on his return to fitness until the discomfort calms down.

Mark Derricott has been on a complete off load for 4 weeks which will continue for another 3-4 weeks before moving onto 2 weeks gym work followed by 2 weeks fitness work and then 2 weeks of non contact football training before he can then join in full contact with the rest of the squad. We are mindful of Mark being at the very beginning of what we know will be a long and successful career so it’s important we are patient with Mark due to the significant injury he has sustained at such a young age.

Nathan Cameron felt his hamstring after the Spennymoor game and after assessment he showed signs of a grade 1 hamstring tear. We are looking at 3-4 weeks from time of injury before Nathan can return.

Ollie Southern has been extremely frustrated with the issues he’s faced. He has sciatica pains that come and go and unfortunately there isn’t a whole lot of rehab or treatment that can be undertaken due to it being a nerve issue. Ollie missed the FA Cup game and then trained all week leading up to the Bishops Stortford game pain free but during the warm up on Saturday the sciatica gradually started to resurface and he had to withdraw from the matchday squad."
