Paul Caddis will be without a number of players for the first league game of the season tomorrow.Lassana Mednes will be suspended for the first three games of the season
Hereford are making the trip east to Norfolk as they face King's Lynn, and the gaffer was hoping for an overnight stay.
But Lassana Mendes will be among the six or so players that won't be available for the game - or the following two.
Kyle Howkins is also likely to miss out, along with Andy Williams, Jason Cowley, Aaron Skinner.
The club received an email with less than 10 days to go until the new season telling them of Mendes's suspension, Caddis said.
"Thanks to the FA for giving us loads of notice," he said, but went on to explain how Mendes "got a straight red card in a Welsh cup final at the end of last season".
But it might not have been the Welsh Cup final when the New Saints beat Bala 6-0.
In that game, Mendes was booked but it appears was substituted.
However, it could have been The Cymru Premier League Cup instead, currently known as the Nathaniel MG Cup.
The video, with Welsh commentary, should start at 1:16:35, when Mendes was sent off
That final was actually played in January when Bala Town faced Connah's Quay Nomads. The game was goalless after 90 minutes but Mendes had already been sent off before half time for lobbing the ball at a fan.
It's not clear how the altercation started, but it ended with an early shower for one of Hereford's summer signings.
Both sides went on to score in extra time, before Bala won 4-3 on penalties.
Now, while Mendes played several games for Bala after that sending off, it could be that separate cup competition suspensions were in force.
As such, now Mendes has moved on, the Welsh FA will have pointed this out.
And of course, we can't write an article mentioning the Welsh Cup without pointing out the last English winners were Hereford United in 1990!
