Hereford manager Paul Caddis took his time before speaking to the local media. But, to be fair, when he did speak he took the blame for the 4-0 defeat at Tamworth and told it like it was.
"Extremely sad, extremely poor," he said.
"Like men against boys at times.
"We emphasised before the game that Tamworth have scored all their goals by second phase, third phase, fourth phase from set pieces.
"I take full responsibility, the team I put on the pitch wasn't good enough. We need to do better collectively.
"I'm a massive believer in 36 yards in football wins you games, 18 yards and 18 yards.
"Right now we are massively struggling in both.
"I watched the Peterborough game back, in between both boxes we were a lot more comfortable in possession, passed it a lot better.
"We were toothless to be brutally honest, toothless.
"We didn't create a chance, we didn't test their goalkeeper.
"We went away to Blyth, we tested the goalie may be once or twice late on in the game.
"And today I think we had one half chance with Koby Arthur.
"The difference for me, we are 4-0 down, they are 4-0 up and the boy nearly splits his head open trying to keep the ball out of the net. That's desire for you."
Keith Hall then mentioned Tamworth being familiar with their plastic pitch along with the fact that Hereford didn't have any strikers on the pitch to start with.
"We did, we had Koby Arthur on the pitch.
"Listen I'll be honest Rooney has been struggling. We are missing two of our key strikers, there's no two ways about it. That's not an excuse, Rooney has been struggling.
"The plan was never for him to come in and play as often as he has. He's assistant manager.
"But we were toothless from back to front. We're a bit stop start with Cowley not playing often and things like that.
"The pitch is what it is, I'm not going to make excuses for the pitch or the surroundings.
"We were not good enough. The buck stops with me."
