Fellow National League North club Banbury United have signed former Love Island winner Finn Tapp.
The 23-year-old defender was at Oxford City when he won the winter version of the reality TV show back in February 2020.
The Oxford Mail reports Tapp came through the ranks at MK Dons, making three appearances for the club.
He spent the first half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Staines Town, before being released by the Dons at the end of the campaign.
It was from there that he joined the Hoops and crossed paths with current Puritans boss Mark Jones, who was in charge of City at the time.
His time on Love Island hit the headlines in 2020, while he and his partner on the show – Paige Turley – split last month.
On signing for the Puritans, Tapp said: “I’m really excited to sign with the club, it’s been a positive pre-season for us and I’m buzzing for the season to start.”
Banbury United appointed Mark Jones as manager earlier this summer after former Bulls assisstant boss Andy Whing resigned and joined National League side Solihull Moors.
He was Russell Slade's assisstant at Edgar Street.
