Scarborough and Darlington have both pledged to play their part in tackling sexist abuse after an assistant referee was left in tears.

Both clubs have been fined £1,500 and made to follow tailored action plans after the match between the two National League North clubs on January 2 was stopped for 40 minutes.
The assistant referee suffered abuse from Darlington fans throughout the game, with both clubs charged by the FA.
Now, they've both pledged to do more to avoid a repeat.
Scarborough said that they condemn all forms of discrimination, including misogynistic abuse. Any person failing to follow the ground rules at home or away game could face a banning order and/or police prosecution.
Fans will also be told more about the action plan in the coming weeks, and the club have engaged with campaign group Her Game Too to allow supporters to report misogynistic abuse anonymously and will continue to remind all supporters of their behaviour before and during fixtures.
More CCTV will also be installed, with the FA saying there were not enough cameras.
"Scarborough Athletic Football Club are committed to making sure that everyone can attend matches without fear of abuse of any nature and upholding the values of our community club," the statement said.
"We look forward to working with the majority of our supporters who share the club's values in helping to remove abuse from football."
The clubs have banned supporters involved in the abuse.
Darlington said they are proud of their "numerous community initiatives", women’s and girls’ teams, and their foundation's efforts in benefiting local people through projects such as 'Think with Your Feet'.
"We are also aligned with organisations like 'Kick It Out' and 'Her Game Too', demonstrating our ongoing commitment to inclusivity and respect," they said.
"As a club, we view this incident as a learning opportunity to strengthen our position within the community and our commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive environment for all.
"We firmly believe that the vast majority of our loyal supporters share these sentiments."
They added: "We are steadfast in our determination to prevent a repeat of this incident or any form of abuse at our future matches.
"We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we work diligently towards these goals."
