Harry Pinchard has left Hereford and is joining Gloucester City |
Harry Pinchard, who was offered a deal to stay at Edgar Street, has joined Gloucester City.
Hereford FC said earlier today (Friday) that 21-year-old Pinchard had turned that deal down, saying evening training wouldn't suit him.
But the Bulls will get an "undisclosed compensation figure" from Gloucester City, who are also in National League North, because he is under 24.
Hereford FC said: "Harry Pinchard was offered a new deal to stay at Edgar Street, but he has explained that the move to evening training will not work for him and that therefore he needs to move elsewhere.
"We respect Harry’s position and in the last 24 hours have agreed an undisclosed compensation figure with a National League North club."
In means midfielder Chepstow-based Pinchard will join up again with Yan Klukowsi. He had been a player-coach at Hereford before becoming caretaker boss after Josh Gowling was dismissed earlier this year, but is now assistant manager at Gloucester.
On joining City, Pinchard said: "When I saw that Yan had joined Gloucester we had a few conversations about the club and the Gaffer and this was the only place I wanted to be.
"I'm a versatile player, I like to carry the ball forward and create chances for the team so I can't wait to get going."
