Former Hereford United manager Peter Beadle |
Peter Beadle, the former Hereford United and Hereford FC manager, has said he believes Premier League footballer Jarrod Bowen could still have one big move in him.
Speaking to Free Radio, Beadle said Bowen was "exceptional" when he coached him in Hereford United's youth set-up.
He then handed Bowen, from Leominster, his first senior start at Barnet, where the Bulls lost 2-0 in March 2014.
But four weeks later, the teenager scored a beautiful left-footed effort in front of the Meadow End - the winning goal in a 3-2 home victory over Alfreton Town as the Bulls fought for survival in the Conference.
Fast forward nine years, and he's just netted the winner for West Ham in the UEFA Europa League Conference Final with West Ham United.
He's now secured himself a place in the Hammers' history books, helping them to their first silverware in more than 40 years.
"I know West Ham are a big club, but I still think that he could go a little bit higher," Beadle told the station.
