National League North newcomers Scunthorpe United have had Football League clubs make offers for two of their players after relegation.

In a players update, the club said it had accepted an improved offer from a Championship side for goalkeeper Owen Foster.

The Iron had rejected the first offer that was submitted to the club.

They expect confirmation of the transfer to go through next week.

Foster, a product of the club's academy, signed his first professional contract in 2022. It was a two-year deal with a one-year option in the club’s favour.

National League side Oldham Athletic have also tried to poach a Scunthorpe player - without success.

The Iron said they had rejected an offer for defender Reagan Ogle.

"As previously stated, Reagan remains firmly in (manager) Jimmy Dean's plans for the 2023-24 season," a statement said.

The Australian joined the club from Hartlepool United last year, and had spells with Accrington Stanley, AFC Fylde and Altrincham.
