Lilly drops down to step three after Edgar Street release

Zak Lilly, centre, has joined Stourbridge
Zak Lilly is the latest Hereford player to drop down a league after being released by Hereford.

Lilly was one of 10 players to be released by Hereford at the end of last season as new manager Paul Caddis started the process of building his side.

He has now signed for Stourbridge, who ply their trade in the Southern League Premier Division Central at step three.

The defender, who used to play up front, featured for the West Midlands side on loan in the 2018/19 season.

The club said he would strengthen their back line for the coming season.

Lilly made 23 appearances for Hereford during his season-long stint at Edgar Street, and follows players such as Tyrone Barnett, Jared Hodgkiss and Orrin Pendley in dropping down to step three.

Hereford signed Jason Cowley for an undisclosed fee from Stourbridge this summer, and Paul Caddis's most recent signing Stanley Anaebonam was also most recently with the Glassboys.
