Hereford FC chairman Chris Ammonds has said the club will provide news updates as soon as they're able to.Ryan McLean, right, after scoring against Bromsgrove in the FA Cup in September 2022
It comes after Ryan McLean seemingly said goodbye to Hereford in a short post on Twitter.
McLean who made 45 appearances for Hereford last season and scored eight goals, said: “Thank you to everyone involved @HerefordFC, all the players, staff and fans, I have loved representing this club each week for the past couple of seasons.”
He joined Hereford on a two-year permanent deal in June 2021, with an extension triggered this summer.
At the beginning of June, Hereford said the club had agreed a fee with a National League club, but McLean was yet to agree personal terms.
Less than an hour after McLean's tweet, club chair Chris Ammonds said: "Rest assured @HerefordFC supporters, we will be providing news updates as soon as we are able to. 👍#COYW"
It's likely Ammonds was sharing the update after McLean's tweet.
