It Might Take Time To Sign A Striker Said Caddis

Hereford manager Paul Caddis has already signed three players for next season but he admits finding a striker might take longer.

He's also said that he doesn't want Hereford to be a retirement club. He feels it's been labelled that in recent years.

"Experienced players will try and drag it out, for a deal, which is fine and I've no problem with that," said Caddis.

"I know everyone is desparate for a striker but striker are another one that's difficult to come by, there will take more time.

"Everyone wants a striker.

"I've always said there's a difference between a striker and a striker who will score goals.

"You may have a striker who wants to run channels and drags defenders all over the place but we want a striker who is going to score goals, who has an improving track record.

"I've spoken to a good number. Some, I'll be honest, they won't be here that I would have loved to have got in but just with finances and offers of full time football.

"A lot of them who are proven goalscorers from last year. If you score 15/20 goals either in the South or the North league there are going to be full time teams for them and it's difficult to compete with that.

"But we're going through the leagues, the players and I'm well on track with a striker with experience but it might take a bit of time."
