More information about why Hereford manager Yan Klukowski had to bring in a defender has come to light.
"Obviously with Latty-Fairweather returning to Burton and Levi Andoh leaving the football club so close to deadline we had to act pretty quickly," Klukowski told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"So Crewe have allowed us to bring Sean (Lawton) in.
"He's had some non-league experience on loan at Nantwich this season.
"He will come into the squad to compliment what we've already got in the full back area."
