Latty- Fairweather Lines Up His Goal
Hereford were defeated by Chester 2-1 last night and afterwards interim manager Yan Klukowski spoke about the game.
"I thought we were flat tonight.
"We looked like a team who had been on the road for a week, two long journeys, and we just didn't quite have that spark.
"I think we lacked a bit of quality in possession and lost the second ball game.
"We did ever so well to get back in the game with a fantastic goal from Latty and then disappointing to concede the second goal.
"Chester are a good side, they move the ball well, they've got good legs in the team and they looked fresher than us tonight.
"And there's a reason they are sat in the play-offs.
"Well done to them.
"We were flat tonight and we couldn't quite match them."
Chester have scored ten more goals than Hereford so far this season with 24 of them coming from Willoughby.
"He's a threat and he's more than a goal scorer as well. He ran the channels well, he was a constant nuisance to our centre halves, on the whole I thought they dealt with him.
"But that's been an achilles heal for us all season, that person who is going to get us 15/20 goals. Hopefully we can address that going forward."
Chester took the lead in the second half but Hereford equalised through Latty-Fairweather.
"Latty has taken his goal ever so well.
"We've challenged our full backs to get forward and create more and score more for us and he's done that tonight.
"He was the spark that got us going again and got the crowd lifted.
"But we've been undone by a poor linesman decision when the ball doesn't go out of play, we've just seen it on the video, and then we've defended the set play very, very poorly.
"It was poor technical quality in terms of the clearance. We've gone to get the ball and swiped at it rather than setting ourselves and concentrating on good foot to ball contact.
"Unfortunately it's fallen to their lad and we had vacated an area we should be occupying in the box and the lad taps the rebound in."
There was a view that the players were not getting the ball forward enough especially late in the game.
"We felt we needed to get the ball forward quicker and get more bodies forward quicker.
"It's something that group will learn from, we'll show them on the video."
