Despite dominating possession and having numerous chances to score, Hereford go into the half time break level pegging against Kettering.
In the third minute, good work from Thierry Latty-Fairweather found Miles Storey, but the Bulls striker was unable to control the ball. Then just a minute later, Ryan McLean had a header saved.
Jimmy Knowles was Kettering's main threat and he shot wide in the sixth minute. On the 20 minute mark, Levi Andoh cut inside before seeing his effort saved for Hereford before Owen Mason saved from McLean.
Andoh had another shot on goal in the 30th minute while, four minutes later, Jamie Egan had a header tipped over the bar by Kettering keeper Owen Mason.
Then eight minutes before half time, McLean had a shot saved.
