Ryan McLean Scores At Banbury Last August. |
Hereford manager Josh Gowling remains hopeful that he can bring in a loan striker before tomorrow's game against Banbury.
If not he'll probably start Ryan McLean up front as both Miles Storey and Tyrone Barnett are injuried and he may need Aaron Amadi-Holloway in defence.
"Our front players are the main priority at the moment," Gowling told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"We don't have a fit striker.
"We've got Ryan who can play up there but if he is going to play up there we need someone to play alongside him because he is not a natural striker.
"So that is definitely a priority to make sure we get someone in before the weekend."
Meanwhile Gowling has spoken about Luke Haines who appears to have hurt himself at home. Haines is suspended for tomorrow but could have returned for the game at Spennymoor next Tuesday.
"Luke has had a bit of a freak injury.
"We don't know how long he will be out for.
"Basically he got off a bean bag at home and he might have popped one of his hamstring tendons.
"That just sums our season up."
