Evans Out For 'A While'.

Hereford's Jack Evans had to be subbed off during the second half of this afternoon's game against Banbury. Jared Hodgkiss took his place. It was the captain's first appearance for three months.

"Jack gives us that energy bit like when Lloyd is not playing," said manager Josh Gowling.

"He's up and down and I feel it shifted a bit when he came off.

"As soon as he had the tackle his ankle was massive and he's going to be a big loss for us.

"I think it will be a while.

"He had a tackle at Buxton, a bit of a naughty tackle on him.

"He's been able to get through it and then today - you can see on his leg where the tackle went in.

"I feel there were a lot of those tackles today that were let happen.

"A few of those tackles on another day someone gets really hurt.

"But the referee for whatever reason decided that was okay but now we've got a casualty because of that.

"His ankle is massive."
