Barnett's Goal Wasn't Enough For Hereford

Tyrone Barnett's 12th minute goal for Hereford wasn't enough for his side at Kings Lynn this afternoon.

"It happened at our last home game," said Barnett.

"We went into the lead and so to get no points from the last two games is disappointing.

"We can try and take positives out of it and say we've played well.

"We can say we've played teams that are at the top of the table both games and in my opinion we've dominated them both games.

"We're disappointed, some positives, but it would have better to come away with points."

In the space of two minutes Hereford went from perhaps being 2-0 up to 1-1.

"Football is crazy like that, I think that's why people love it so much.

"We've missed a good opportunity and they've gone down the other end and scored a goal.

"I feel like we had our chances and they had a bit of luck.

"Their first goal if you watch it back is clearly not a corner, it's a goal kick to us. James let it run out of play thinking it's a goal kick.

"Unfortunate but sometimes decisions go against you like that."

Scoring first gave Hereford a lift?

"It's a tough place to come, Kings Lynn are decent. We knew it would be a tough game so to go 1-0 up was good.

"We dominated a lot of the first half. We rode the spell that they had.

"They came out second half with a different game plan and like we said the game is won in both boxes. We just didn't have it their box."

A lot of games before Xmas.

"We work hard every day so we pretty fit. We'll be able to compete with the big run of games coming.

"Hopefully we can take more points than we have in our last two."
