Hereford manager Josh Gowling is concerned about an injury to captain Jared Hodgkiss which flared up last Tuesday at Kettering.
"We think it's a cartlidge issue with his knee," Gowling told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"He might be ruled out (for Telford)
"We're thin on the ground again.
"Jared has got that experience, he's quality going forward, he marshalls the team well and he's got bags of energy.
"He'll be a huge miss but that's where we're at at the moment."
Asked if he might need surgery, Gowling said they would have a look.
"He'll see the doctor this week or next and we'll take it from there.
"He had his knee injury before and it may be a carry-over from that. I think he may have done it when he did his knee injury originally.
"He's been playing and trying to get through it but it's been progressively getting worse as the weeks have gone on.
"It's got to a point now where he can realistically play Tuesday and then Saturday.
"It's something we are going to have a serious look at."
