Hereford Well Beaten At Banbury

Final score Banbury 3 Hereford 1.

Hereford suffered their second defeat of the season, beaten 3-1 by a determined Banbury side newly promoted to Vanarama North.

The Bulls, unchanged once again, were two goals down within seventeen minutes. Defender Jay Williams scored the first, and then Morgan Roberts doubled Banbury’s lead.

Hereford pulled a goal back through Ryan McLean on the stroke of half-time. Their other efforts in the opening period had been long-range shots from Kane Thompson-Sommers and Ryan Lloyd, both saved by Banbury goalkeeper Jack Harding.

Banbury scored a third just three minutes after the restart, a brilliantly taken effort by Roberts.

Hereford introduced Aaron Amadi-Holloway, Jethro Hanson and Orrin Pendley as they looked to get back into the game, but the Bulls’ midfield struggled against a determined and confident Banbury outfit.

Hereford are now 9th.
