In his post match interview Hereford manager Josh Gowling was asked if he was positive about keeping the majority of his current squad.
"No", said Gowling.
"We'll keep a core of the squad.
"I think where we are as a football club we are going to have to rebuild every season, that's just a reality of who we are. So that will happen.
"I would like to keep a core of the squad together which we will do then we are going to have to bring in a portion of players again.
"Like what Jon (Hale) said about donations from the fans, the budget and all that stuff we've got to wait for that, so that means you have to delay certain things recruitment-wise.
"We'll try and get them sown up over the next week or so and then we'll be looking at players for next season, new faces coming in."
Asked why he has to wait as he knows what his budget is in essence?
"Yes but if you want to improve the squad you need more money.
"I'll have to wait. The reality is we keep the core of the players together that we can. We've got money to bring in a certain amount of players which we'll do.
"I want to kick on, in order for me to kick on I need more money. That's the reality of it. What I don't want to do is to get to pre-season and have ten players.
"We've had that the last couple of years so ideally we keerp the core of our lads together, add a few additions to it, so we've got 13/14/15 players then we can wait a little bit longer.
"What you see is that players wait because they think they are going to get something and then mid-way through pre-season it will be like well actually I'm not going to get anything so I'll sign that deal. So we have to wait for that.
"If we have a good core of 15 players through the door at the start of pre-season then we've got a good squad, then we can wait for possibly another five and kick on from that."
What chance is there of a third training session?
"Absolutely zero, because if you want another training session you have to pay the lads more money."
Would not it be better than 14 players instead of 15 and an extra training session?
"Well the budget wouldn't stretch to an extra training session for 14 players."
Is youngster Toby Raison in your plans for next season?
"I've had a chat with Toby. He's done okay, he's been in and out over his loan period so I'm going to sit down with him and some of the other lads and discuss their futures."
Ryan Lloyd didn't play this afternoon?
"The tackle he got at Spennymoor when he got stitches in his ankle, his ankle is massive, so he wanted to play today but for him when you have a massive ankle is probably not the best idea to be running around. He'll be back and ready for Saturday."
And Krystian Pearce?
"He's been in hospital. I don't know if it'a virus or whatever it is but He's not been well, he's at home resting."
Any key players in your squad you don't expect to be here next season?
"We're speaking to players all the time. The obvious one is Toey (Tom Owen-Evans), he's got a lot of interest.
"We want to keep him here. He's been an unbelievable servant to the football club and we'll do everything to try and keep him. But when he's got 16 goals and the assists he's going to have interest.
"To be honest if he does go I hope he goes to a football league club because he deserves it. He's given me three seasons of his career and I really appreciate his loyalty because he could have went last year but he stuck with us.
"He's improved his self as a player a he's a lot better player than he was three seasons ago.
"I hope to keep him but if he does go I think he get a good hand-shake from me."
