There was no place for Krystian Pearce in Josh Gowling's squad at Chester yesterday but it remains unclear if he was dropped or serving his first game suspended after he was sent off at Kidderminster last Tuesday.
It was thought his suspension would not start until next Tuesday and the game at Curzon Ashton.
Gowling was asked if he could clarify if Chester was the first game of his suspension.
"I hope so," said Gowling who then looked at some of the Hereford directors and staff who were nearby.
"No, no, that's how the league works, I'm not going to talk the National League too much.
"No, no so we play a game and he's got a two match ban but today doesn't count. Decent.
"So no so Tuesday and Saturday apparantly. So he misses three games even though it is a two game ban. He misses two games."
